We were tasked with creating a video showcasing the origin, mission and vision of the NISTC. We wanted to show how ancient knowledge, grounded in culture and science, is being transformed into opportunities for innovation, self-determination, and community futures. Our concept was called Origin of Innovation.
The film takes viewers on a journey across Australia — from spinifex fields in the outback to laboratories, towns, and communities — to explore how ancient Aboriginal knowledge is finding new life through science and innovation.
At its core, this story celebrates the NISTC as the first of its kind in Australia: a bridge between ancient wisdom and future industries, offering self-determination, leadership, and hope for generations to come.
