ILBIJERRI Theatre Company is the longest established First Peoples theatre company in Australia, they create powerful and engaging theatre by First Peoples artists.

Their production Lush Life brings to the stage the inspirational life story of one of Australia’s finest jazz stars, Indigenous singer, Wilma Reading.

To celebrate her extraordinary story and ILBIJERRI’s theatre production, we produced a video documenting the process of developing the show.

Lush life was later produced and performed around Australia.
